About the project: In 2023, Kay Rosen's mural HI was installed permanently at the Blanton Museum in Austin, Texas. Originally made in 1997, HI shows that visual strategies such as scale, composition, and colour, when applied to language (in this case a generic alphabet fragment) can create new meaning.
